Monique Laenen

Monique graduated in Notarial Law from Leiden University in 1992 and started her career at Nauta Dutilh. In 1998 she joined Schut & Grosheide (now DLA Piper) to set up the notarial practice. She was appointed civil‑law notary in 2003. Since 1 September 2022 she has been part of Hemwood’s notarial practice. Monique advises on property transactions and large‑scale multifunctional (re)development projects and has in‑depth knowledge of ground lease, superficies and division. She brings parties together and keeps projects moving smoothly. Monique also holds board positions focused on preserving iconic Amsterdam buildings.
