Karin Markerink

Karin Markerink graduated with distinction from her studies in Dutch Law and her Masters in Planning Law at the University of Amsterdam. Between 2009 and 2016, Karin worked as a planning lawyer for Rho Adviseurs, a spatial planning consultancy.

arin has been a lawyer at Gijs Heutink Advocaten since February 2016. She advises and litigates on matters of planning law and administrative law, with a particular specialisation in environmental law and spatial planning law. In her work, Karin focuses on supporting inner-city redevelopments and the development, transformation and restructuring of commercial premises and rural areas. Karin regularly publishes on these subjects.

Karin is a member of the Dutch Association for Environmental Law (Vereniging voor Milieurecht, VMR) and the Jong Leefomgeving network, which promotes the physical environment.
