Elsbeth Meijboom

Assigned civil-law notary

Elsbeth Meijboom has been working as a candidate civil-law notary at Hemwood since 1 September 2022 as a member of the notarial team. She graduated in Notarial Law from Leiden University in 2008. Since then, she has also worked as a candidate civil-law notary and has been authorised to deputise as a civil-law notary since 2012.

Before joining Hemwood, Elsbeth worked for nearly eight years as a candidate civil-law notary at DLA Piper, where her work focused primarily on project development and transactions. Before that time, she worked as a candidate civil-law notary at the Brummelhuis notaries’ firm, where she gained a great deal of experience in residential building projects, among other things.

Elsbeth specialises in property law, particularly in assisting investors and developers in large-scale multifunctional development/redevelopment projects and the related property transactions. She advises on, among other things, all aspects of ground lease, superficies, division into apartment rights and the structuring of all facets of multifunctional complexes and the associated contracting. Her knowledge and experience are much broader than only the notarial side of project development, which allows her to keep a close overview of each project and to interconnect the various aspects of a development.
