Charlotte Pasteuning

Lawyer

Charlotte studied psychology and law at the University of Amsterdam and worked at the Centre for Environmental Law during her studies. She graduated in Constitutional and Administrative Law in 2009. Charlotte practised at Dentons (formerly Boekel De Nerée) and in 2012 joined the Administrative Law Division of the Council of State. In 2016 she became a senior court lawyer and legal adviser at the Amsterdam District Court. She led complex cases and joined national expert groups (including preparation for the Omgevingswet). Charlotte now advises and litigates in planning and environmental law, often on major (re)developments involving energy, sustainability, water and nature. She is a member of VBR‑A and VMR.
