Ella Brascamp started as a Compliance Officer at Hemwood in January 2024. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from University College Roosevelt, majoring in Law, Political Science, and Rhetorics. During her studies, Ella wrote her thesis on combating organized crime and money laundering in the Netherlands, exploring tensions and effective law enforcement strategies from the perspective of lawyers and notaries.
After completing her bachelor’s degree, Ella began as an intern at Hemwood, where she applied her academic knowledge in practice. In her role as Compliance Officer, she focuses on office policies regarding the Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing Act (Wwft), KYC administration, and client onboarding.
Alongside her work, Ella is pursuing a master’s degree in Political Communication at the University of Gothenburg. With her diverse background and interdisciplinary approach, she contributes to the further development of an effective and ethical compliance structure at Hemwood.
