Maurits Overwater

Maurits completed his Master’s degree in Tax Law at Leiden University in 2024. During his studies, he interned at several law firms, where his interest in real estate law was further sparked. He also gained experience within the Legal Team of a large corporate organisation, where he developed an understanding of the role of legal advice in day‑to‑day business operations and commercial decision‑making.

Since March 2026, Maurits has been working at Hemwood, where he focuses on tenancy and real estate law, with an emphasis on the leasing and letting of office and commercial space, commercial real estate transactions, and project development.
